Vertex 8" Super Indexer
Simple and compact construction, designed for milling, drilling, jig-boring and other related machining operations, and may be used in the horizontal or vertical position.
The unit comprises of a 24 division, hardened and ground index plate, operated by depressing a lever and indexing the chuck by hand.
Also supplied are 6 masking plates which are used for 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 12 divisions.
A 360 deg. graduated ring provides accurate reading to 1 deg.
Supplied complete with 3 jaw chuck with hard top reversable jaws.
Optional accessories include dividing attachment and tailstock.
This unit is similar to the simple spacer, except that it may also be operated like a rotary table.
The satin chromed dial has a 90:1 ratio giving 4 deg. per revolution, and has a vernier reading to 10 seconds.
The chuck may be removed, and replaced with a faceplate (supplied), turning the unit into a rotary table.
